It is hard to believe that school has started again. Thank you so much for contributing to the Back-to-School campaign. Our children will have all the supplies they need this year because of your generous support.

Fall is such a great time at the Children’s Home. The children enjoy playing outside, riding their bikes on campus, going to football games, and more. Fall is also exciting because our churches provide all the food our children need through the Fall Food Roundup. Thank you for meeting those needs.

Fall is also when our staff presents the Annual Children’s Home Report to the Churches at their associational meetings. Let me give you a preview of that report. This past year you provided love, care, and hope for over 12,000 children, families, and others. Many of those precious people experienced the joy of salvation in Christ.

Through our on-campus child and family care ministries, and our Connect 1 Child statewide foster care ministry we served 204 children and homeless mothers. Many of the children and mothers made new and renewed commitments to the Lord.

Our Granberry Counseling centers provided services for 794 clients. Our Minister Care Counseling Program provided 35 Louisiana Baptist minister families with counseling services which were provided at no cost through a partnership with the Pastoral Leadership division of the Louisiana Baptist Convention.

Our Women’s Learning Center (formally Christian Women’s Job Corps) provided 37 women with educational and job skills training. The program includes the high school equivalent program and several business certificate programs. The women have Bible study each day in class.

Our Compassion for Kids ministry, through our new Compassion Center served thousands of economically challenged children and families by providing food, coats, shoes, household items, and more. Our food distribution ministry alone is meeting the needs of over 1,000 families every month. Eighty percent of the products distributed are provided through partnerships with Baptist churches and compassion ministries in North and Central Louisiana.

Let me close by telling you about Macie. When Macie first arrived at the Children’s Home, she was only 11 years old. She had known more pain than a child should ever have to experience. But when she stepped onto our campus, she was welcomed with open arms and loved by our caring staff. This summer, something truly remarkable happened in Macie’s life. She attended Vacation Bible School, where she experienced the unconditional love of Christ in a way she had never known before. Shortly after, Macie made the life-changing decision to accept Jesus as her Savior. Her life, which was once filled with fear and uncertainty, is now grounded in peace, joy, and hope.

Macie’s story is just one of many, but it serves as a powerful reminder of the incredible impact your support is making in the lives of children and families in need. Because of your great love and care, children like Macie not only find a safe and loving, Christian home but also the promise of eternal life.
