If I could sit and talk with each of you, my first and last words would be, “Thank you.” Thank you for making Christmas special for our children. Thank you for providing them with a loving, Christian home. Thank you for providing our HomePlace families with that same love and care. Thank you for providing quality Christian counseling for hundreds of families through Granberry Counseling Centers. Thank you for supporting Baptist foster families across the state through our Connect 1:27 ministry. Thank you for meeting essential life needs for children in North Louisiana through Compassion for Kids. Thank you for helping women with job skills and educational support through Christian Women’s Job Corps. Thank you for giving abandoned children in Haiti a Christian home through Orphans Embrace. Thank You!

Recently, I was reading again the history of the Children’s Home. For over 120 years we have been asking the question, “Where are the children who need us and how can we meet their needs?” The first answer to the question was simple, the orphaned child with no family. That is why the Children’s Home began as the Louisiana Baptist Orphanage. Several decades later, in the late 1940s, the Home expanded its reach to include children from one-parent or troubled families.

Today, as we continue to minister to children in need, we have found new answers to that most important question. Where are the children who need us? Some of them are homeless children with their mothers. Others are children in the foster care system. Many are children living in poverty. God has opened doors of opportunity for the Children’s Home to meet those needs and you have made it possible for us to walk through those doors.

All these children and their families have one thing in common. They need to know about God’s great love in Christ. Most of those who come our way have never been active in church. They may have heard about Jesus but they do not know the message of the Gospel. That Good News is shared through every ministry of the Children’s Home and every year many accept Christ as their personal Savior. For that we are eternally grateful.

With your support, in the very challenging year of 2020, we were able to meet the needs of over 2,200 children and others. As we begin a new year of ministry with some of those same challenges, we need your continued support to sustain our life-changing ministries. Thank you again for providing love, care and hope in Christ through your Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home. God bless.
