Thank you so much for helping our children have a great summer! They slept late, enjoyed refreshing times at the pool, and just had fun being kids. They also enjoyed cottage vacations, VBS, special activities on campus, and much more. Thank you again for the wonderful memories they have of summer 2019.
But it is now time to go Back to School! Yes, they will have to get up early, go to class, write papers, study, and take tests. It will be hard to do at first. They will spend a couple of weeks complaining. But they will soon get in the groove of their new schedule and do very well.
"Back to School" has another meaning at the Children's Home. It is the way that many of you help us meet the educational needs of our children during the year. You provide them with everything from paper and pencils to backpacks and books. You also help them with new uniforms, shoes, and all of the other resources they need. You make it possible for them to participate in extra-curricular activities like sports and band. You provide experienced tutors for many of our children who need additional support.
Thank you so much for being a part of our "Back to School" campaign. Your investment in the education of our children will help secure their futures in many different ways.
As you read the articles in this edition of the Home News remember one thing - all of the smiles you see, all the good news about our children is because of your faithful and generous support.
