125TH ANNIVERSARY
Help a Child Go Back-to-School

Dear Friend of Children,

For just a moment, try to remember how you felt on that first day back to school. You&rsquore decked out in your new clothes, new shoes, and your new backpack is filled with school supplies. The love and security you felt from your parents helped you overcome any anxiety about riding a new bus route or attending a new school.

Unfortunately, most of the children who live at your Children&rsquos Home have not experienced the love and security of a stable family that most of us take for granted. The first day back to school for them has been a time of anxiety and even embarrassment.

That&rsquos why your Back-To-School gift is so vital! Your gift will not only help defray the costs of preparing our children to return to school in a few weeks, but you will help us equip a fifteen-year-old like Clay* for a much brighter future.

Clay will be entering the eighth grade this fall. When he came to us three years ago, he was reading at a second grade level. He had not seen his father in years. His mother was in and out of his life due to a drug addiction.

He had great potential, but he needed the consistent love and encouragement that come from a stable, caring family.

You&rsquove provided Clay with the family he needed here at the Children&rsquos Home! You&rsquove made it possible for him to attend a special school designed to meet his needs and help him catch up academically and socially. You&rsquove given him a church home where he&rsquos learning about Jesus in his youth group. You&rsquove changed the trajectory of his life! Thank you!

Please consider making a generous Back-To-School gift for Clay and many more children like him. I am so grateful for your prayers and support for the children we serve!
