Words from Home

A few weeks ago, our entire LBCH family enjoyed the annual Children’s Celebration Banquet. The event is attended each year by school teachers, church members, trustees, and other special friends who have played an important role in the success of our children. The banquet is sponsored by the Judy Lynn Bailey Endowment Fund.

The theme of our banquet was “Hide and Seek”. The Scripture verses were Psalm 119:11 and Jeremiah 29:13. “Your word I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you.” “And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.”

Everyone enjoyed performances by the children which included the LBCH Ballet Troupe, Logan Smith on piano, and the LBCH Drumline.

Our speaker for the night was Jase Robertson of Duck Dynasty fame. Jace provided an inspiring message that challenged everyone to seek the Lord with all their hearts.

A final highlight of the banquet was the recognition of each child. Cottage parents, family workers, administrative staff, and others identified traits in each child that can be found in a follower of Christ. Those qualities were placed on a certificate and presented to the children. I wish you could have seen their faces as they received such positive recognition.

I hope that you enjoy reading the other stories about the many ways you are making a difference and changing lives through the various ministries of the Children’s Home. Thank you so much for your support which makes this work possible. When you have the opportunity, plan a visit to the campus in Monroe. We would love to give you a tour and thank you personally for making LBCH a place Where God’s Love Takes You In.

Until then, may the Lord bless you as you continue to bless His children at your Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home.
